Historical Background
Historically, the College was established at the University of Juba in 1997 as the Secretariat for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, which was later changed to a college. After being reallocated to the University of Bahri, the College was divided into two separate colleges: the Deanship of Academic Research and the College of Graduate Studies.

Graduate Programs & Academic Services
The College, in collaboration with the other University Colleges, offers graduate diploma, master and doctorate degrees in various disciplines described under the individual colleges.
The Graduate College usually performs the tasks of registration, follow-up of students’ progress, thesis examinations, and issuing academic certificates and transcripts. The concerned colleges perform the tasks of scientific research and academic supervision.
