Under the Memorandum of Understanding established between the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bahri and the Higher Committee for Animal and Horticultural Production, Gazeera State, the first training course in artificial insemination in dairy cows was held during 15 October to 11 November 2017.
19 students, including veterinarians, animal production specialists and technicians were enrolled in this training course which contents included theoretical and practical lectures on relevant sciences and knowledge.
The inauguration ceremony which was held at the buildings of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bahri was attended by the representative of the Vice Chancellor of the university and the director of the Higher Committee for Animal and Horticultural Production.
The closing ceremony was hosted by Zadna Co. at its buildings in Alkadaro and honored by Prof. Salem Jibril Ahmed, representing the Vice Chancellor of the University of Bahri, Deputy Director of the University, a representative from the Ministry of Animal Resources, Gazeera State, Mr. Jalaluddin representing Tiga Co. (a Turkish company for Artificial Insemination), a representative of the Higher Committee for Animal and Horticultural Production and a group of professors and some colleagues from other university colleges.
The trainers (doctors and technicians of the College of Veterinary Medicine) who participated in this training course were honored by the Higher Committee for Animal and Horticultural Production, likewise the director of the Higher Committee for Animal and Horticultural Production was honored by the dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
