Environmental Effects of Chemical Wastes

Dr. Asma Abu Baker and Mr. Khalid A.Hafeez were sent to attend and contribute in this Important Symposium.
Dr. Hasan Abdulgadir Hilal, the federal minister of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources & Physical Development Spoke in the opening Session and he mentioned a number of harmful effects of Chemical wastes.
A number of Scientific Papers were presented at this Symposium Such as:
– The status of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) Pesticides in Sudan.
-Environment Impact of Chemical Residues in Agricultural Soil in Sudan.
Sudan is considered as one of the first countries to adopt the means of Chemical Control since 1940.
This Situation has led to a recent increase in interest in research and methods of safe Control of natural Plant and animal sources.
Eventually, awareness, Quidance, and training should be intensified for the persons concerned.
