The College of Medicine was established in July 2011, as continuation to the same colleges at the formerly Southern Sudan Universities (i.e. Universities of Juba, Upper Nile and Bahri El-Ghazal). The College has developed a core of medical degree program in which the integrated systems approach has been adopted in basic medical sciences, clinical sciences and professional competencies. The first batch for this program was enrolled in the academic year 2011-2012.
