The College of Management Sciences organized the first brainstorming session for the first batch of Master’s degree students in Accounting & Finance; and Business Administration on 08-04-2017.
The session commenced with a speech by the Dean of the College, Dr. Elshami Abdelhadi Adam, who praised the students of both programs, wishing them stability in their first college year and an eminent academic achievement. He urged them to become role models for the next batches, pointing out that the college awards Higher diploma and Master’s degree in both programs.
The Head of Department of Business Administration Ms. Nahla Jadkarim also addressed the session, pointing out that the postgraduate program accommodates specialized and unspecialized students in Business Administration, as the program aimed at promoting administrative work. She further said that the programme holds five specializations, namely; Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance and Project Management.
The Head, Department of Accounting & Finance, Dr. Afaf NourEldin also praised the students saying that the students were good enough and capable of attaining the Master’s degree. She further mentioned that the Department of Accounting & Finance awards Master’s degree in three semesters plus a complementary dissertation.
Programs Coordinator, Dr. Aljaili Saeed Mohamed explained the technical aspects of both programs regarding the grades required to qualify a student to the award of Master’s degree in a particular program; stating out clearly the estimation of grades obtained by the students in different subjects. He emphasized on the importance of attending lectures as scheduled on the timetable.
Finally, it was noticed that there was clear response from the students on the information presented by the speakers, through numerous questions raised by the students on many of the points mentioned, and all were responded to by the speakers.
