The scientific field trip to Sabaloga and Bangadeed Areas:

During the period from 02/02 till 12/02/2017, The College of Petroleum Geology and Minerals has held a scientific field trip in the Sabaloga area for third and fourth year students to gain the practical knowledge they need in the field of geology. Third year students focused their work on knowing and identifying the different types of rocks found in the study area and also the geological structures present. while fourth year students were working mainly on knowing the geological and structural evolution of the area and its across the different time periods, and also mapping their study area.[:ar]فى الفترة من 2/2 ____12/2/2017م اقامت كلية جيولوجيا البترول والمعادن رحلة علمية حقلية فى اطار التطبيق العملي لمهارات علم الجيولوجيا لطلاب السنوات الثالثة والرابعة بمنطقة السبلوقة وما حولها وقد كان عمل طلاب السنة الثالثة يتمثل فى معرفة الصخور وخواصها والتراكيب الجيولوجية .اما طلاب المستوى الرابع فكان محور عملهم عمل خريطة جيولوجية للمنطقة والتعرف على التاريخ الجيولوجى وتطورها عبر الحقب الزمنية المختلفة.[:]
