Mr. Siddig Mohammed Ali Alsheikh, the chairman of Khartoum State Legislative Council, has met a delegation from University of Bahri headed by Mr. Hassan Altayeb, the Principle of the university, Dr. MoawyaAltayeb, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Professor HatimRahamtAllah, Dean of Faculty of Health and Dr.WidadIbrahim, Dean of Faculty of Nursing. The conversation was based on the social services of Bahri’s city, particularly about providing lands for the university in the North of Khartoum State which will be used to establish a service university hospital for Northern Bahri’scountryside residential Schemes, and the possibility of providing premises for Faculty of Medicine. This will probably help establish the new programmes of medical collages which are: medical laboratories, dentistry, and pharmacy among others.
The Chairman of Khartoum State Legislative Council has pointed out the social activities of the university from health and medical caravans, to awareness raising to serve the community of the state. He has also confirmed the collaboration and the communications’ link of all executive and legislative bodies to assist providing a considerable area for constructing the medical city which will be a real addition to both the university and the state.
It is worth mentioning that the University’s teaching staff includes Bahri’s Hospital Manager, Omdurman’s Paediatric Hospital Manager, Ibn Awf Paediatric Hospital Manager and Ibn Sinaa Hospital Manager which highlights the accumulative experience in both management and academic aspects, in addition to collaboration channels with the State’s Ministry of Health to provide the necessary assisting tools as well as a study of a health map in the area.

التقى السيد صديق محمد علي الشيخ رئيس المجلس التشر يعي لولاية الخرطوم، بوفد جامعة بحري برئاسة الأستاذ حسن الطيب وكيل الجامعة ، و الدكتور معاوية الطيب عميد كلية الطب، و البروفيسور حاتم رحمة الله عميد كلية الصحة، و الدكتورة وداد إبراهيم عميدة كلية التمريض ، و دار الحوار الذي ارتكز على الخدمة المجتمعية في مدينة بحري وبوجهٍ خاص حول توفير أراضٍ للجامعة في شمال ولاية الخرطوم؛ و ذلك لتأسيس مستشفى جامعي خدمي لمخططات ريفي شمال بحري، و إمكانية توفير مقر لكلية الطب مصاحب لها و ذلك لتدشين برامج الكليات الطبية الجديدة وهي المختبرات و الأسنان و الصيدلة وغيرها .
وأشار رئيس المجلس التشريعي إلى النشاطات المجتمعية للجامعة؛ من قوافل صحية و طبية و إرشاد توعوي لخدمة مجتمع الولاية، و أكد على تعاون و تواصل كافة الأجهزة التنفيذية و التشريعية للمساعدة بتوفير مساحة مقدرة لتجهيز المدينة الطبية؛لتكون إضافة حقيقية للجامعة و الولاية.
الجدير بالذكر أن الجامعة يوجد ضمن هيئة تدريسها كلُ من مدير مستشفى بحري، و مدير مستشفى الأطفال بأم درمان، و مدير مستشفى ابنعوف للأطفال، و مدير مستشفى ابن سيناء؛ وذلك دلالة على الخبرة التراكمية في النواحي الإدارية و العلمية ، و في كيفية التعاون مع وزارة الصحة الولائية لتوفير المعينات اللازمة و دراسة الخارطة الصحية بالمنطقة .
