Professor Babikir Mohammed Mahjoub, University of Bahri Chancellor, called for the necessity of early preparation of forming committees to coin the perminant constitution of Sudan and stressed on the importance of the constitution to resolve the problems of the country and the different diversities.
Mahjoub, when meeting the president of Sudan Liberization Forces Assembly, Al Tahir Hajar, and his accompanying delegation, has renewed the university’s commitment to deploy all its capabilities in order to support the execution of the peace agreement signed between the government and the armed fight movements.
On the other hand, Hajar confirmed the importance of the permenant constitution and the governance conference which will be held in the coming period to discuss the issues related to freedoms, religion-state relationship and the ruling method between the centre and the states. He then invited the universities and scientific research centres to contribute with them to formulate a practical methodology to execute the peace agreement.
