The College of Community Studies and Rural Development (CCSRD), was established in accordance with the decree number (50) for the year 2011, which was issued by the chairperson of the Higher Education and Academic Research National Council (HEARNC), Sudan. Concerning the reversion of the college and programs thereof to the University of Bahri, however, it was
belong to the University of Juba before its reallocation to Republic of the
South Sudan. The college includes four sections as follows:
– Libraries and Information, – Rural Development, – Development Communication, and – Social Work.
Therefore, the college is considered as a natural extension for the college of Community Studies and Rural Development of the formerly national University of Juba (1977).
