Students` Transfer

Students transferred from other universities shall be eligible to the award of
the degree on condition that they spent at least 50% of the total prescribed
duration of study in the University of Bahri.
a) Internal Transfer (Inter-college/ inter-departmental)
(1) Regulations:
a. The Administration of the concerned college may – in
coordination with- the Academic Secretariat transfer first
year students from a college/department to another for
health or administrative reasons.
b. A student may be transferred from a college/department to
another equivalent college/department after meeting the
following conditions:
First: Applicant for transfer must have successfully
passed with a minimum very good grade all the subjects
of the last examination which he/she has sat.
Second: Applicant`s grades of the Secondary School
Certificate must not be below the grades required for
general admission or below the minimum grades
qualifying for competitive admission of private students
for the respective college/department in the respective
academic year.
Third: Approval of the college/department from which
the applicant is to be transferred and the
college/department to which he/she is to be transferred is
required.
c. Transfer shall expire two weeks before the beginning of the
study at the concerned college.
(2) Procedures:
a. Application for transfer shall be submitted to the
Academic Secretariat to be reviewed, and then referred to
the college/department from which the applicant is to be
transferred for recommendation. If transfer approval is
recommended, the Academic Secretariat shall refer

approval to the college/department to which the applicant
is to be transferred.
b. If transfer approval is recommended, the Academic
Secretariat shall refer the respective documents to the
Administration of General Admission for completion of
transfer procedures.
c. A student may be registered only upon approval of the
Administration of General Admission and the student
acquires a university code number.
b) External Transfer (from or to the University of Bahri)
(1) Regulations:
1. Applications for transfer shall only be accepted from reorganized
universities and colleges. Such application shall be subjected to scrutiny
by the concerned colleges, which shall also decide on the availability of
seats and their number, specification of date for receipt and reply.
2. There must be clearly stated reasons for student’s transferring to or from
University of Bahri.
3. Transferring shall only be on self-sponsored basis on condition that the
student’s percentage obtained is not below 10% of the accepted minimum
percentage by National Intake for the prescribed College or Department.
4. Students transferring on the basis of general intake should pay 50% of the
private intake fees allocated for that college
5. Students dismissed from other institutions shall not be allowed to transfer
to the University of Bahri, whatever the reason behind the dismissal.
6. Transferring students must have successfully completed their term of
study (without F grade) in their respective University and under regular
study condition with minimum grade of very good.
Transfer Procedure
1. Application for transferring shall be submitted to the Secretariat for
Academic Affairs. The applicant university shall be informed to send
the student’s academic credentials (Secondary Leaving Certificate,

Transcript Certificate from the concerned University, Bonafide
Certificate from the concerned university and a letter of no objections),
if the application satisfied the minimum requirements for transfer.
2. The received academic credentials will be passed to the concerned
colleges and departments for scrutiny.
3. The documents shall be send to the Administration of General
Admission and Certificate Authentication of the Ministry of Higher
Education and Scientific Research for confirmation.
4. Students registration depend on the confirmation of the Administration
of General Admission and Certificate Authentication.
